Why The Butterfly?
The butterfly symbolizes transformation, renewal and freedom in many cultures. Butterflies have appeared in ancient mythologies, art and literature for centuries. In others, they are considered the physical symbols of the human soul. We have heard stories from cancer fighters and survivors, people who have dealt with mental breakdowns, heartache, and drug addictions. Through heartfelt stories, we have heard butterflies symbolizing the passing of a loved one, or life struggles people have endured to later emerge as a better person. Butterflies have also been a symbol for celebrations, weddings, life, and our journeys. To us, the butterfly represents all of those things and more, for they carry a far deeper and more unique significance. The butterfly signifies hope; a transformation process; and transition to freedom and renewed life.
